How Do I Put Sailshades in My Home?
- Mounting Choice
You have two choices when it comes to how you want your shades to be mounted. The first is Type R; they are "recessed" shades mounted within the window alcove. The second is Type A; they are mounted above the window, often flush with the ceiling. Because Type A shades nest entirely above the window when raised, the maximun amount of sunlight is allowed into your home. The Type R shades, on the other hand, create a very snug fit in your window, but the self-creating valance will cover some of the window. For most windows, we recommend Type A shades.

- Fabric Choice
We have found all-natural canvas to be the most versatile and well-liked fabric available. Hence, it is our standard fabric offered. We will also make your Sailshades in white and bone colored canvas. If you would prefer a decorator fabric, however, we can cover your Sailshade with material that you provide.
Because we want to ensure that your Sailshades fit perfectly, we prefer to consult with you directly regarding your purchase order form. We will need the following information:
- Your window trim dimensions, including distance to ceiling
- Your phone number and best time to call, or
- Your mailing address, or
- Your e-mail address

We ask for a 50% deposit upon ordering and 50% due upon shipment.
